Cora E. Parrish Wotring

Cora Ethel Parrish Wotring , 95, of Mount Hope, WV died on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 30, 1917 at Clifftop, WV she was the daughter of the late George Parrish, Sr. and Luvinia Pyatt Parrish. She was a homemaker and former clerk for Hills Department Store, Beckley. Mrs. Wotring was a member of the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Winolia Chapter No. 59 O.E.S. and was a Pink Lady volunteer at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. Her husband, Loraine "Pete" Wotring preceded her in death. As the last surviving member of her immediate family she was also preceded by five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one son, Raymond "Ray" Wotring and wife, Bonnie of Manassas, VA, a daughter, Nancy Kesler and husband, Galen of Rawlings, MD, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope. with Dr. Charles Miller officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
