Clifford Curtis Parsons , 79, of Clay, WV formerly of Minden, WV died on Wednesday, July 04, 2012 at CAMC - General Division in Charleston, WV. Born April 27, 1933 at Fola, WV he was the son of the late Curt and Myrtle Steward Parsons. He was a retired Foreman for Carbon Fuel. Mr. Parsons was a member of the Rock Lick Community Church. He was a US Army veteran. His wife, Betty Noal Anderson Parsons, a daughter, Sharon Kelly, grandson, John "Tony" Kelly and eleven siblings preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Clifford Thomas Parsons of Murrells Inlet, SC, a daughter, Susan Workman of Clay, and two brothers, Roy Parsons of Scott Depot and Henry Clayton Parsons of New York. Six grandchildren, Joseph, Curtis, Amy, Ashley, Chris and Eugene and five great grandchildren, Hannah, Jenna, Natalie, Caleb and Emma also survive. Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Paris Workman officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens,Prosperity with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
