Claudie French Brown

Claudie French Brown, 83, of Middlesex, NC formerly of Long Branch, WV died on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Born October 27, 1925 at Plum Orchard, WV he was the son of the late Okey and Faye Aliff Brown. He was a retired coal miner. Mr. Brown was a member of the Ewing Creek Community Church. His daughter, Pamela S. (Brown) Brown, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Ruth Deal Brown of Middlesex, NC; four sons, James Brown of Fairdale, Ricky Brown of Newport News, VA, Tommy Brown of Raleigh, NC and Barry Brown of Thomasville, NC; one daughter, Brenda Farley of Middlesex, NC; a brother, Pete Brown of Stuart, VA; a sister, Mary Dean of Vineland, NJ; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Loretta Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery in Pax. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family will serve as pallbearers.
