Clarise A. Jordan

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, Clarise A. Ramey Jordan, 76, of Hilltop,WV formerly of Mount Hope, WV passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, WV. Born August 27, 1931 at Mount Hope,WV she was the daughter of the late William B. and Clara Chandler Ramey. Clarise was a former employee of the City of Mount Hope and retired from the Bank of Raleigh with over 20 years of service. She was a 1949 graduate of Mount Hope High School and attended the Mount Hope Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Jordan; a granddaughter, Kami Ann Logan and a sister, Vella Merrix. Survivors include a daughter, Anna Logan and husband, Daniel of Mount Hope; a grandson, Daniel "D. W." Logan and wife, Ashley of Oak Hill; great grandson, Jacob Logan; great granddaughter, Grace Logan; three brothers, William B. "Bill" Ramey and wife, Polly of Beckley, Glen "Shag" Ramey and wife, Vickie of Cornville, AZ, Martin "Bud" Ramey and wife, Carolyn of Springfield; four sisters, Rowena Napier and husband, Ernie of Williamson, Eva Codi of Pasadena, MD, Judy Farmer of Hagerstown, MD, Janie Engle and husband, Ron of Charleston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clarise will always be remembered for the goodness in her heart, for both people and furry friends alike. Her laughter was contagious. During her life she enjoyed flower arranging, bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends, leaving them with precious memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Graveside rites will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill, with Dr. Dana Gatewood officiating. There will be no visitation.
