Clarence Edward "Buddy" Elder

C.E. “Buddy” Elder , 65, of Glen Jean, WV died on Friday, February 01, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born June 14, 1947 at Maple Fork, WV he was the son of the late Fred Thomas and Sara Frances Prather Elder. He was the retired owner of C&B Auto Salvage. Buddy was a US Army veteran. A son, Clarence Edward Elder, Jr. preceded him in death. Survivors include his companion, Sandra Gill, step daughter, Audrey Cook of Minden, two brothers, Wayne Elder of Harvey and James Elder of Clear Creek and one sister, Drema Smith of Maple Fork. He is also survived by three step grandchildren, Austin Suttle, Tiffany Cook and Anna Cook, six nephews, four nieces, three great nephews, six great nieces and four great-great nephews. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Danny Damron officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
