Clara Whitt

Clara Belle Montgomery Whitt , 93, of Mount Hope, WV died on Monday, April 28, 2003 at Hidden Valley Healthcare Center in Oak Hill, WV following a long illness Born February 15, 1910 at Long Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Pearl Vernon Montgomery. Mrs. Whitt was a retired Dietitian for Pine Crest, Beckley, a member of the Mount Hope First Assembly of God, Mount Hope and attended Mount Hope High School. She was preceded in death by her Sisters, Maxine Jane Rhodes and Letty Suttle; brothers, Abner and Russell Montgomery Survivors include her best friend, George H. Daniel of Beckley Sisters, Margaret Boehly of Hamilton, OH and Ella Walker of Mount Hope; brothers,Virgil Montgomery and wife, Sophie, of Chevy Chase, MD and Rev. Grant Montgomery and wife, Ann, of Hamilton, OH. Special thanks to Hidden Valley Nursing Home staff and her home care givers. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Services will be on Thursday, May 1, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hop. Pastor Jessie Parker will be officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens., Beckley, WV
