Clara Mae Greer Kincaid

Clara Mae Greer Kincaid , 104, of Kincaid, WV died on Sunday, January 04, 2015 at her home.
Born May 05, 1910 at Dancy, NC she was the daughter of the late Madison and Neva Greer.
Mrs. Kincaid graduated from the Coal Valley Hospital Training School for Nurses on June 7, 1934 and passed the state board Nov. 20, 1934. She worked for Laird Memorial Hospital and retired from the Fayette County school system as a School Nurse. She and her husband also operated
C.W. Kincaid Grocery for several years.
She was an active and dedicated member of the Kincaid United Methodist Church for over 70 years. The church was her passion which she shared with others while serving on several church committees and community activities.
Clara's last years were made immeasurably more comfortable and enjoyable by her caregivers, particularly Diana Snyder and her husband, David, Brittany Carter and Kathy Clay.
Her husband, Charles W. Kincaid preceded her in death on Jan 4, 1981. She was also preceded by sisters, Victoria Roop, Pearl Carpenter, and Ruth Neal; and brothers, James Greer, Harold Greer, and Herbert Greer.
Survivors include her son, Charles Kincaid and wife, Nancy of Charleston and a sister, Ruby Denny.
A private service was held on Monday, January 6, 2015 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. A celebration of Clara's life will be held in the Spring, her favorite time of year.
A memorial service and time of remembrance will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the Kincaid United Methodist. A dinner will follow the service.
