Charlotte Bookman

Charlotte Jean Puckett Bookman, 66, of Durham, NC died on Monday, November 17, 2003 in Durham, NC after a lengthy illness. Born October 8, 1937 at Kilsyth, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles Richard and Hazel Bibb Puckett. Mrs. Bookman married Paul K. Bookman, Sr. shortly after graduating from Mount Hope High where she was a majorette. She moved to Durham in 1964 where she remained a resident for more than 39 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Everett and Charles Samuel Puckett. Survivors include husband of 48 years, Paul (Pat) K. Bookman Son: Paul Kent Bookman, Jr. and wife, Kim Daughters: Jeannie Aquino and husband, Joe Deanna Bookman Grandchildren: Matthew, Michael and Elissa Aquino and Kristen Bookman Sisters: Margaret Beirne of Oak Hill Bettie Day of Oak Hill Lois Tyree of Raleigh, NC Sonja Lohmar of Raleigh, NC Brothers: Jim Puckett of Chesterfield, VA Don Puckett of Charlotte, NC and by numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Wednesday, November 19, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Hope Christian Church with Rev. Bernie Jernigan officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
