Charlotte Bernath

Charlotte Bernath, 89, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a long illness. Born September 07, 1915 at Clifftop, WV she was the daughter of the late Emory and Dolly Moore Bryant. Mrs. Bernath had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Joey Vallina since 1999. Before having to give up her home due to ill health she lived in Whipple. She was a retired nursing assistant for Oak Hill Hospital in 1955 and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Dennis, Harry, Cecil and Hubert Bryant and one sister, Dessie Bernath. Mrs. Bernath was first married to Randolph Blevins. They had two children, Dale Blevins and Patricia Vallina both of Oak Hill. Following his death from cancer she married George Bernath and they had a son, George Donald Bernath also of Oak Hill. Mr. Bernath, Sr. died in 1964 also from cancer. Charlotte had five grandsons, Randy Blevins, Bill Blevins, George D. Bernath, Jr., Scott Blevins and Jody Vallina; one granddaughter, Pam Knight and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, March 11, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, March 12, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Robert Barley officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV.
