Charles Edward West , 74, of Gatewood, WV died on Monday, March 04, 2013 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born August 04, 1938 at Sanger, WV he was the son of the late Paul Winston and Winnie Smith West. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill West, Walter E. West and Melvin West and sister, Martha Yoder. Survivors include three brothers, Harold West of Fayetteville, Delmas West of Whipple and James Jake West of Mount Hope, a sister, Irene Hamilton of Oak Hill and several nieces and nephews. At his request, Mr. West was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. His cremains will be interred at the Smith Cemetery at Meador Fork.
