Charles Henry Shrout

Charles Henry Shrout , 91, of Scarbro, WV died on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born March 16, 1920 at Claremont, WV he was the son of the late Buckner and Ophelia Ramsey Shrout. He was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA.. His wife, Fannie Shrout and four brothers, Thomas Shrout, Carl Shrout, Edward Shrout and Chester Shrout preceded him in death. Survivors include his siblings, Mary Hildred Dodrill and husband, Burford of Dille, George "Galen" Shrout of Craigsville, Noel Shrout and wife, Lillie of Mount Hope and Bethel Martin and husband, Emory of Mill Creek. He is also survived by his caregivers, Clara and Johnny Thorne of Scarbro with whom he resided and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Robert Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at the Nuttall Cemetery in Edmond . Friends may call at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
