Charles James Raines , 64, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born May 07, 1946 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Herbert A. and Alice Virginia Morgan Raines. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Raines, sisters, Beverly Sutphin, Dorothy Amick and Donna Cody and nephew, Roger Sutphin. Survivors include sons, Joey Raines of Layland and Jeffrey Raines of Milton, daughter-in-law, Sandra B. Raines of Oak Hill, five grandchildren, J.J., Pricillia, Dusty, Jerrica and Megan Raines, great grandchild, Tristin Chase Lee, brother-in-law, Bill Sutphin, nieces, Debra, Laurie, Traci, Theresa, Kim, Linda and Brenda, beloved niece, Vanessa Yoney and nephew, Chris. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Hilltop Cemetery with Rev. Robert Pauley officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Johnny “Turtle” Johnson, Greg Carter, Burl Smith, Doug Kenney, Jackson Crawford and Dan Sutphin will serve as pallbearers.
