Cecil Mccormick

Cecil McCormick, age 87, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 Born September 7, 1924 at Scarbro, WV, he was the son of the late Oate and Elizabeth Ball McCormick. Cecil was a hydraulic mechanic having worked for Long-Airdox Company and formerly attended the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. He served his country with the US Navy during WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merriem Essel Frisby McCormick. Surviving are his three son, Ronnie McCormick and his wife Patty, Sam McCormick and his wife Terri all of Oak Hill, WV and Leon McCormick and his wife Patty of Glen Jean, WV, his daughter, Cindi Carroll and her husband Harold of Oak Hill, WV. Also surviving are nine grand children and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Minister Jim Conley officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, with military graveside services conducted by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110.
