Catherine "Cathy" Ann Whitt

Catherine "Cathy" Ann Whitt, 67, of Sophia previously Amigo joined her Lord and Savior and the love of her life Robert Whitt on February 22, 2025. 

Born December 5, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lora Rhodes Saddler. 

Cathy was of the Christian faith and shared Jesus’s love with everyone she came in contact with. Cathy was a one of a kind person with a heart of gold. She was a proud daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her passing will forever leave a void in the lives of those who knew and loved Cathy. However we have peace in knowing she is where she longed to be and is rejoicing with her husband and Jesus. 

Cathy was a homemaker. She was a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a devoted member of the Herndon Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, former choir member, had taught numerous Sunday School classes at numerous age levels, and was a former clerk for the Beckley Freewill Baptist Conference. 

In addition to the love of her life and her parents she is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Jennifer Harvey of Beckley; a son, Robert Whitt II wife, Christine of Sophia; also her God daughter, Brittany and husband, Zach of Odd; four grandchildren, her angel, Abigail and her Todo, Izac Harvey of Beckley, Derek Grayson (Bubby) and Lora Grace (sissy girl) Whitt of Sophia; a brother, Roy Edward Saddler and special sister in law, Becky Saddler; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Herndon Freewill Baptist Church, Herndon with Rev. Richard Massie and Rev. Keith Coulter, Jr. "Daddy Warbucks" officiating. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
