Carrie Marcella Shirley

Carrie Marcella Stitt Shirley, 73, of Bradley, WV died on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Hilltop Center in Hilltop, WV. Born February 10, 1933 at Maitland, WV she was the daughter of the late James W. and Josie Mae England Stitt. Mrs. Shirley was retired from the Lynchburg Training School and Hospital, Lynchburg, VA and she had also worked at Stevens Clinic for three years. Three brothers, Clarence Cleo Stitt, Franklin D. Stitt and Charles Lester Stitt preceded her in death. Survivors include husband, Charles E. Shirley, Sr.; one daughter, Jeannette Diane Shirley Hart Smith of Charlotte, NC; one son, Charles E. Shirley, Jr. of Dublin, OH; two sisters, Aleen N. Stitt Fraley of Lynchburg, VA and Jerldeen T. Stitt Mahaffey of Lynchburg, VA; three brothers, Tracey L. Stitt of Lynchburg, VA, Glen Stitt of Lynchburg, VA and James D. Stitt of Fredricksburg, VA; and by four grandchildren, Jeromie Hart, Jason Hart, Charles E. Shirley, III and Meagan K. Shirley. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield with Rev. Benjamin Smith and Rev. Jeannette Shirley Smith officiating. Burial will be at Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, Roderfield WV.
