Carrie Beth Bowling

Carrie Beth Bowling, 18, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, October 03, 2004 at Crown Hill, Kanawha County, WV from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born May 28, 1986 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of Eddie Ray Bowling, Jr. and Mary Jayne Reed Bowling of Oak Hill, WV. Carrie was a freshman at West Viriginia Univeristy Institute of Technology, Montgomery where she was a member of the Women's Soccer team. Miss Bowling was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Oak Hill and an honor graduate with the Oak Hill High School Class of 2004. Additinal survivors include a sister, Andrea Nelson and husband, Chris, of Stafford, VA; brother, Benjamin "Ben" Bowling of Oak Hill; maternal grandmother, Dreama "Vonnie" Gunoe Wykle of Oak Hill; paternal grandmother, Ethel Mae Callahan Bowling of Oak Hill; aunts and uncles, Mike (Donna) Bowling; Linda "Linny" (Steve) Richardson; Andrew J. Reed, III and William "Butch" F. Wykle; several cousins and a special friend, Lori J. Ward. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, October 5, 2004, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and at the Calvary Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Services will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 2:00 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1424 East Main Street, Oak Hill with Rev. Alvie Edwards and Rev. Jack Barker officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the OHHS/CHS Alumni Association, PO Box 462, Oak Hill, WV 25901 for a soccer scholarship in Carrie's memory.
