Carolyn Hoover Miller , 90, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 09, 1921 at South Charleston, WV she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Clark Hoover. Carolyn spent her youth at Armor Park in South Charleston. She attended Armor Park Grade School and graduated from South Charleston High and Katherine Gibbs School in New York City. She was formerly employed by Carbide and Carbon Chemical Corporation. A member of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Oak Hill, she was also a former Cub Scout Den Mother, past member of the White Oak Country Club, and Fayette Study Club and had been active in many civic organizations. Her various interests included bridge, golf and travel. Her husband, Charles Preston Miller, Jr. and a brother, Edward Hoover preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, C. Preston Miller, III and wife, Clementine of Scottsdale, AZ and William H. Miller and wife, Cathy of Kingwood, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Graveside rites and committal will be on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Oak Hill with Rev. Roy Gene Crist officiating. Family and friends are then invited to attend a luncheon at 12:00 Noon at the White Oak Country Club The family requests no flowers but instead memorial contributions to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 345 Kelly Avenue, Oak Hill WV 25901.
