Carol Lynn "Tucky Williams Ashmore

July 28, 1963 — February 28, 2012

But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. Genesis 8:9 Carol Lynn "Tucky" Williams Ashmore, 48, received her reward and entered into the gates of heaven and found rest with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 while surrounded by family and friends at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. Although she had been diagnosed with cancer nine years ago, the cancer never conquered her spirit. Born July 28, 1963 at Fort Knox, KY she was the daughter of Ted Williams of Paint Creek, WV and the late Carolyn Ash Williams. Carol graduated from Mount Hope High School. She worked in several occupations during her adult life, but her most cherished "job" was being a mother and grandmother. He hobbies included photography, cake decorating, poetry, quilt making and painting. She attended Packs Branch Baptist Church and was a devout worker for the Lord. Visitation, Bible School, and attending worship services were some of her favorite activities. She showed so much compassion and love toward others and was always trying to make a difference in someone's life. Even during her times of sickness she was always trying to do the Lord's work and get someone new to go to church. She had many favorite scriptures, one of which was Jude 1:22, "And of some have compassion, making a difference." In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Williams, nephews, Jacob Williams and special angel Wehrle, her second mother, Susie Williams and many other loved ones. Along with her father, Ted, those left to cherish her memory are her children, Ronnie Ashmore, Jr. and Jennifer Ashmore of Fayetteville, Gregg and Amanda Davis of Oak Hill, Cara Ashmore of Paint Creek, grandchildren, Davin Davis, Elijah Donnally, Kaitlyn Ashmore and Emily Ashmore, brothers, Dan and Ruth Williams of Diamond and Scott and Lori Williams of Hernshaw, nieces, Ashley Williams and Kaylie Williams and nephew, Joey Williams. She had many friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ along with a special prayer partner, Katherine Bragg. She is now with her Savior, her mom, her brother and the ones that have passed before her. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Packs Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Vance officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at the Packs Branch Baptist Church on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until service time.
