Carol Jean Lively

Carol Jean (Pack) Lively, 87, of Oak Hill passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Born November 20, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Arnett Newton and Catherine Ruth (Woods) Pack.

Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed shopping, gardening, sewing, and collecting anything she could find and she especially enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, James Gordon Lively, Sr.; and 2 sons, James Gordon Lively, Jr. and Phillip Glen Lively.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her 2 loving daughters, Rhonda Susan Skinner (David Lee) and Pamela Carol Clark (Eugene); 6 grandchildren, Angela Clark, Nicole Harrelson (Kyle), Bradley Clark, Kristina Brooks (Ryan), Laura Clark, and Robin Lively; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 9 sisters, 3 brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Carol's wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.

Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
