Carlos Perry

Rev. Carlos A. Perry, 74, of Oak Hill, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV of an apparent heart attack. Born September 03, 1928 at Holden, WV he was the son of the late Boyd and Hattie Conley Perry. Mr. Perry was a retired section foreman for New River Company and a member of the Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church, Summerlee, WV. He was still active with his ministry. He served in the Air Force during Korean Conflict having attained the rank of Corporal. He was preceded in death by his his wife, Opal June Collins Perry; a son, Carlos David Perry and a sister, Hattie Vietta Perry Survivors include Daughter: Gail Hodge and her husband, Melvin of Oak Hill Sons: John Perry and wife, Carol, of Taylorsville, NC Glen Perry and wife, Dianne of Oak Hill Gregory Perry and wife, Sue of Oak Hill Brothers: Larry Perry of Oak Hill William Perry of Rome, IL Sisters: Dorothy Darrell of Phoenix, AZ Geneva McDaniel of Defiance, OH Jane Mynes of Blandon, PA Gloria Jean Hecht of Pamplin, VA 9 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, August 22, 2003 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Services will be on Saturday, August 23, 2003, at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Menefee and Rev. Michael Angelona officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens., Oak Hill WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3110, Oak Hill.
