Carlos G. Lambert of Oak Hill, passed away on Thursday, May 08, 2008 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA, following a long battle of Black Lung and a recent double lung transplant. Born January 8, 1949 in Pemberton, WV, he was the son of the late Richard and Dixie Wiles Lambert. Carlos retired from the coal miners after 33 years. He was a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scarbro after being baptized, July 8, 2007. In his spare time, Carlos enjoyed spending time with his family along with hunting, fishing, gardening, and four wheeling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James "Pops" Sarver; three brothers, Thomas L. J. Lambert, Arnold Lambert, Ross Lambert; and a grandson, Hunter Scott Lambert. Survivors include his wife, Jill Sarver Lambert; five children, Danny Lambert, Jeff Lambert and his wife, Stephanie of Sophia, Jeremy Lambert stationed at Ft. Huachuca, Sierra Vista, AZ, Justin Lambert, at home; and Jessica Lambert, at home; two grandchildren, Adam Cole Lambert of Oak Hill and Kyndal Paige Lambert of Sophia; two sisters, Ada Daniels of Daniels, Margaret Camara and husband, Titlo of Chicago, Ill.; one brothers, Richard Lambert and his wife, Rose of Pemberton; special niece, Joetta Cooper of Coal City; special nephew, Gene Martin and his wife, Debbie of Pemberton along with several other nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Bill "Bronco" Sizemore and his wife, Tina of Bason, Montana. Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor Kenny Smith and Deacon Bob Creed officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lambert, Kevin Darnell, Jason Blankenship, Jason Gregory, Frankie Miller and Dave Lokant. Honorary pallbearers will include the Oak Hill High School Baseball team and coaches. Services will be on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Kenny Smith and Deacon Bob Creed officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
