Carlos Abram “Bags” Williams, Jr., age 85 of Corliss, WV, formerly of Pax, WV passed away on Saturday February 23, 2013 at Heartland of Rainelle after a long illness. Born February 27, 1927 in Long Branch, WV, he was the son of the late Carlos “Gooch” and Grace Akers Williams. Carlos was a supervisor in the construction of mine tipples and was a veteran having served with the US Air Force during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patty William and Jewel M. Lively and her husband Harry E. Lively. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Nancy Sevy Williams of Corliss, WV, his daughter Vickie Starcher and her husband James of Columbus, Ohio, his granddaughter, Tara Arias and her husband Vernon, grandson, Cody Starcher and three great grandsons. Also surviving is one brother Bill Williams of Pax, WV, a special cousin, Mary Lou Raikes of Elkins, WV, loving brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and Laura Sevy of Rainelle, WV and his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, WV with Pastor Eric Keister officiating.
