Finally there is a laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day.
Carl Pittman, Jr. age 82, of Mount Hope, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston.
Born June 13, 1933 at Maynor, WV, he was the son of the late Carl Pittman, Sr. and Jennie Bell Davis Pittman.
Carl was a retired coal miner and served his country with the US Army during the Korean
War. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Ann Mays Pittman in December 2014 and by a daughter, Kathryn L. Pittman Buckland.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Keith Pittman and wife Mindi, David Mark Pittman and wife Tammy; three daughters, Pamela J. Pittman McMillion and husband Pat, Deborah K. Pittman Blevins and husband Joel and Janice L. Pittman Cobb and husband Tom. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a son-in-law, Ray Buckland.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity with Eulogy by family members. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
