Carl Light

Carl Light,83, of Oak Hill, WV died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 in White Plains, New York. He was born at Page, WV on January 13, 1920 the son of the late Herman Light and Sadie Walker Light Poston and loving son of stepfather, George Lewis Poston. Mr. Light was a retired self employed master plumber having owned Carl Light Plumbing & Heating. He attended SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill, and served in the US Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward L. Poston. SURVIVORS include his wife, Shirley Harmon Light; daughters, Joanne Gilmore of Boulder City, Nevada, Alison A. Walsh of White Plains, New York, Karen J. Lowman of Mamaroneck, New York; one son, Dennis W. Light of White Plains, New York; four sisters, Nora Vicars of Oak Hill, Drema Stark of Godfrey, Illinois, Carol Stark of Alton, Illinois, Genevieve Evanyk of New Kensington, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren. COMMITTAL SERVICE will be Monday, December 1, 2003, at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call from 12 Noon until 1:30 pm Monday, Decmeber 1, 2003, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
