Carl Robert Furrevig

Carl Robert Furrevig, 63, of Scarbro, WV died on Wednesday, January 06, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV of an apparent heart attack. Born May 07, 1946 at Jersey City, NJ he was the son of the late Jake and Ethel Henn Furrevig. Carl was a retired teacher having taught English as a Second Language at Ferris High School in Jersey City, NJ. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill, the Sts. Peter Alumni Association and the N.E.A. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Bridget Hermes Furrevig, son, Arthur Hermes of Atlanta, GA, two brothers, Allan Furrevig of Point Pleasant, NJ and Warren Furrevig of Florida and a granddaughter, Rachel Hermes of Atlanta. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. There will be no visitation.
