Carl J. Cody

Carl Joseph Cody, 64, of Lowell, OH formerly of Gatewood, WV died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at his home following a long battle with cancer. Born May 15, 1942 at Fayetteville, WV he was the son of the late Edwin and Goldie Rorabaugh Cody. He was a Boiler Maker and a member of Local #667, Charleston, WV. Carl was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. A brother, Jim Cody and a sister, Jane Foulk preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Mason Cody; two daughters, Debrah Calvert and husband, Allen, of Fayetteville, WV and Carla Elder and husband, Carlos of Oak Hill, WV; step-daughter, Davine Salah of Cleveland, OH; two step-sons, Douglas Mason of Chardon, OH and David Zocchi of Masdonia, OH; four sisters, Iomogene Abicht of Beverly, OH, Erma Lee Southerly of Virginia, Patsy Light of Virginia, June Bebee and husband, Jim of Virginia; two brothers, John T. Cody of Fayetteville, WV and David Cody of Marietta, OH; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2006 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hadley Funeral Home, Pike Street, Marietta, OH with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM officiated by Pastor Dana Clay.
