Rev. Carl Emzie Burrows , 95, of Mount Hope, WV died on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born November 24, 1922 at Huntington, WV he was the son of the late Emzie M. "Red" and Nora Marie Nibert Burrows.
A minister for the United Methodist Conference for 53 years, he retired in 1984.
His wife, Dayle Marie Morton Burrows preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughters, Becky Wilson and husband, Rick of Roanoke, VA and Barbara Boyd and husband, William of Mount Hope; brothers, Charles Burrows of Fannettsburg, PA and Leotis Burrows of Grove City, OH; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Services will be on January 14, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. at Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church in Mount Hope with Pastor Davey Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until service time on Sunday at the church.
