Carl Burley

Carl Eugene Burley, 76, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Hilltop Healthcare Center in Hilltop, WV following a long illness. Born March 16, 1928 at Minden, WV he was the son of the late Clarence and Dolly Settle Burley. He was a retired welder. Mr. Burley was a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV. He was a US Army veteran. Survivors include wife, Freema Suttle Burley; daughters, Sharon (Burl) Burgess of Oak Hill and Angela Burley of Wytheville, VA; sons, Gary (Karen Sue) Burley of Pipestem, Darren Burley of Ansted and John (Holly) Burley of Ansted. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday. Services will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Entombment will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Ansted WV with military graveside rites by 2nd/ 320th 80th division, US Army.
