Calvin Clarence Robertson

Calvin Clarence Robertson , 84, of Wriston, WV went home to be with his Jesus on Thursday, October 03, 2013 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born September 26, 1929 at Taylor Branch, WV he was the son of the late Walter Cecil and Mary Ellen Walker Robertson. He was a retired surface miner having been a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Robertson was a member of the Loup Creek Baptist Church , Wriston where he was Senior Deacon and had served for many years.. He was a member of the UMWA.. One brother, Alvin Robertson and three sisters, Gladys Jarrell, Garnet Skaggs and Mary Stump preceded him in death. Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of his life are his wife, Margaret Lee Legg Robertson; children, Clarence Edward Robertson and wife, Debbie of Smyrna, GA, Larry Robertson and wife, Pattie of Hico, John Steven Robertson and wife, Shelia of Hurricane, Linda Parrott and husband, Barry of Hiram, GA, Terry Robertson and his fiance, Rhonda Protka of Oak Hill and Debbie Adamson and husband, Steve of Fayetteville; one sister, Pauline Plance of Pennsylvania; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.; five step grandchildren and seventeen step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Loup Creek Baptist Church in Wriston with Pastor Melvin "Buck" Nottingham officiating. Burial will be at the Robertson Family Cemetery, Wriston. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
