Calvin Foster

Calvin R. Foster, 75, of Wriston, WV died on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born March 31, 1929 at Dixie, WV he was the son of the late Guy P. Foster, Sr. and Emma Schoolcraft Foster. He was a retired Mine Machine Operator and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ray Foster and two sisters, Margaret Eloise Mullins and Betty Rollins. Survivors include wife, Margaret Faye Taylor Foster; sons, Robert (Bobby) Foster of Wriston and Lynn Edward Foster of Oak Hill; daughter, Carolyn Foster (Ronald) Elswick of Canterbury Road; brothers, Guy (Julie) Foster, Jr. of Lizemore, John (Barbara) Foster of Pickmore, Shannon Foster of Gauley Bridge, Jack (Faye) Foster of Lizemore, Jim Bill Foster of Robson; grandchildren, Ricky Lambert, Tina Evans, Gary Elmore, Michelle Foster, Wesley Yellets, Andrew Elswick, Bobby Lee Foster, Jr., Christopher McKinney and Savannah Foster and a great grandchild, Austin Evans. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, July 2, 2004, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. Services will be on Friday, July 2, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. John Hurley officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV.
