Calvin Donald Elswick, 55, of Angier, NC died on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at his home. Born September 17, 1950 in Clay County, WV he was the son of the late Donald and Geraldine Woods Elswick. He was an employee for Industrial Construction Services. Mr. Elswick served in the US Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. His wife, Sylvia Elswick and siblings, Willie Elswick and Becky Craddock preceded him in death. Survivors include sons, Michael Elswick and wife, Helena, and Shawn Elswick and wife, April, all of South Carolina; step-children, Lisa Suttle of Kentucky, Paula Altizer of Florida, Terri Mercado of New York, Joy Bailey and husband, Dennis of Lillington, NC; sisters, Madeline Jackson and husband, Buford, of Price Hill, Kimberly Wilburn and husband, Gerald, of Mount Hope and Tina Suttle and husband, Michael, of West Virginia; brothers, Joey Elswick and wife, Brenda, and Tony Elswick all of Kilsyth; five grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren. Also surviving are his special friend, Tammy Ball and eleven nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, May 13, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Sunday, May 14, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope.
