Burl A. Neff

Burl Allen Neff , 47, of Dothan, WV died on Monday, June 07, 2010 at home after a very long illness. Born September 11, 1962 at Bickmore, WV he was the son of the late Leonard Lee and Georgie Shamblin Neff. Burl attended the Dothan Missionary Baptist Church and worked for an automobile tire changing business. A brother, Charlie and sister, Linda Neff preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Lee Neff of Fayetteville; a son, Daniel Gorgon of Oak Hill; four brothers, Edgar Neff of New York, Woodrow Neff of Tennessee, Willis Neff of Pennsylvania and Clarence Shamblin of Oak Hill and five sisters, Virginia Schoolcraft of Dothan, Ruby Ramsey of Fayetteville, Sally Pennington of Dothan, Sharon Adkins of Clay County and Krista Smith of Mossy. He is also survived by a loving aunt, Emogene Brown of Oak Hill and several loving nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Lum Toney officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore, WV. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time for the service on Friday at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
