Buford Owen Williams

Buford Owen Williams, 76, of Artie, WV passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born November 6, 1940 he was the son of the late Wayburn and Linnie Dunbar Williams.
Buford was a Coal Miner for over 30 years and was part of the UMWA. He attended the Church of God at Artie, and in his leisure he enjoyed gardening and sitting on the porch drinking a good cup of coffee.
He is preceded in death by sisters; Nova Williams, Gaylena Cyrus, Doris Stanley, Cleda Williams, and Kathrine Smith, and brother; Herman Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 years Lou Williams, three sons; Aaron Williams, Buford “Owen” Williams (Marsha), Brandon Williams (Lindsay), three daughters; Kathy Williams, Trina Williams (Stephen) and Yolanda Endicott (Philip), thirteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, four brothers; Ronald, Teddy, Eddie, and Jackie Williams, one sister; Maxine Jones.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Jerry Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
