Bobby Lee Vicars

Bobby Lee Vicars , 77, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born June 04, 1933 at Westerly, WV he was the son of the late Charley O. Vicars and Ossie Mae Keith Vicars Smith. He was a retired US Air Force veteran and was a retired welder for Norship Corporation in Norfolk, VA. Bobby was a member of the Oak Hill Moose Lodge #1664, a life member of the Norfolk, VA VFW and a member of the American Legion in Alabama. His wife, Ardis Ruth Pittman Vicars and step-father, Clifford Smith preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Lynn Welch and husband, John of Glen Ellyn, IL and Cynthia Lee Hess and husband, Lantz of Fayetteville and one brother, Edward Vicars and wife, Nora of Oak Hill. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Laura Hess Kiliany, Stephen Lantz Hess, Katie Welch and Taylor Ruth Welch, three great grandchildren and several close cousins. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
