Bobby E. Reese

Bobby E. Reese, 79, of Oak Hil, WV died Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV after an extended illness. He was born September 2, 1926 at Robson, WV, a son of the late Charles Henry and Hattie Burgess Reese. Bobby was a coal miner for 38 years having retired from Cannelton Coal in 1981. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U. S. Army. Mr. Reese was of the Baptist faith and a lifetime member of the UMWA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren at his camp in Ansted. Four brothers, Clarence Reese, Herbert Reese, Darrell Reese and Ronald Reese and four sisters, Elsie Britt, Cleo Smith, Patricia Scott and Ada Sexton preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Juanita D. Manley Reese; five children, Wanda (Ernie) Dickinson of Oak Hill, Gary (Becky) Reese of Oak Hill, Kathie (James) Brown of Dover, DE, Bobby (Kristi) Reese, Jr. of Oak Hill, Barbara (Bob) Price of Oak Hill; seven grandchildren, Brigitte Chandler, Willie Dickinson, Terry Freeland, Danette White, Ashley Reese-Johnson, Ryan Price and Nick Price. Friends may call Wednesda, March 1, 2006, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill , WV with Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill with FW Post 3110, Oak Hill conducting military rites. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
