Bobby Joe Evans , 52, of Glen Jean, WV died on Tuesday, December 09, 2008 at Montgomery, WV. Born December 31, 1955 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Hubert and Pansy Ellen Swanigan Evans and step-son of Madge Willis Evans of Oak Hill. Bobby was a former miner and WV Department of Highways employee. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert Lee "Buddy" Evans, Jr. and Jimmy Wayne Evans. Survivors include wife, Barbara Louise Parker Evans; one daughter, Angel Evans of Glen Jean; three sons, Christopher Evans and wife, Tina, Michael Evans and Timothy Evans all of Glen Jean; one brother, Thomas R. "Tom" Evans of Oak Hill; two step-brothers, Russell Weis of Fayetteville and Earlin Weis of Virginia and step-sister, Alice Sutphin of Oak Hill. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Austin Evans of Glen Jean, Destiny Evans and Hailey Gardner both of Summersville; daughter-in-law, Wanda Jones of Summersville; niece, Frani Marshall and husband, Dwayne of Oak Hill; his life-long friend, Jimmy Parker of Scarbro and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Debbie Minor officiating. Burial will be at the Smith Family Cemetery, Oak Hill WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Christopher Evans, Michael Evans, Timothy Evans, Dwayne Marshall, Jason Bourgord and David Williams will serve as pallbearers.
