Billy Joe Yates, Sr.

Billy Joe Yates, Sr., 71, of Rock Lick, WV died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at CAMC-Memorial Division in Charleston, WV Born December 8, 1939 at Rock Lick, WV, he was the son of the late Lee Roy and Gladys Ruth Boyd Yates. Billy Joe was an automobile mechanic and a member of the Rock Lick Community Church. He also was an avid fisherman. His wife, Nancy Marie Stallone preceded him in death on February 15, 2007. He was also preceded by a brother, Roy James Yates. Survivors include three sons, Billy Joe Yates, Jr. of Beachwood, NJ, Michael Anthony Yates of Rock Lick and Dakota Le-Vito Yates of Rock Lick; adopted son, Jesse Lee Vickers and a sister, Myrtle Francks of Rock Lick; grandson, Nicholas Joseph Yates-Cocuzza of Beachwood, NJ and two beloved nephews, Zachary and Garret Stallone. Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2011 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
