Billy Castle

Billy Castle, 82, of Beckley, WV, died May 18, 2013 at his residence. Born May 12, 1931 in Manco, KY, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Jenna May Childers Castle. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Jerry Castle and two brothers, Randall and Robert Castle along with two brothers and one sister who died in infancy. Billy worked for forty-one years as a baker for Giant Foods in Maryland and was shop steward for many years with the company. He was a member of Mt. Hope Assembly of God where he served as Deacon. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Jane Karnes Castle, two sons, Michael Castle and wife Kathy of Bowie, MD, and and William Castle and wife Dara of Gaithersburg, MD, four daughters, Gwen Crawford and husband Marc of Victorsville, CA, Vicki Castle of Beckley, WV, Ella Palermo and husband Nino of St. Leonard, MD and Robin Taback and husband Joe of Centerville, MD, three brothers, James Castle and wife Gay of Takoma Park, MD, Ralph Castle and wife Gloria of Maple Fork, WV and Larry Castle of Mt. Hope, WV, two sisters, Barbara Tomlinson of Galloway, OH and Stella Stover of Oak Hill, WV. Thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. At Tyree Funeral Home, Mt. Hope, WV with Rev Jessie Parker officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV.
