Billy D. Byrd

Billy Daniel Byrd , 66, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at his home. Born April 29, 1944 at Bramwell, WV he was the son of the late Glacial and Willie Mae Blankenship Byrd. He was a retired coal miner having worked for Beckley Lick Run-New River Company. Mr. Byrd was of the Holiness faith. Two sisters, Norma Jean Bailey and Betty Ann Sullivan and a brother, Randy Allen Byrd preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Evans Byrd, one son, Billy Joe Byrd and wife, Rosetta of Gatewood, two daughters, Barbara Jean Byrd Bradley and husband, Charles of Oak Hill and Lori Ann Byrd Fleshman and husband, David of Minden and one brother, Bobby William Byrd of Oak Hill. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a special friend, Raymond Ayers of Oak Hill. Funeral servicces will be on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. with Pastor Freddie Parkins officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Jason Surnear, Timothy Surnear, Joseph Adkins, Jeremy Byrd, David Fleshman and Joshua Fleshman will serve as pallbearers.
