Beverly J. Sutphin

Beverly Jean Raines Sutphin, 71, of Hilltop, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born July 01, 1936 at Oswald, WV she was the daughter of the late Herbert A. and Alice Virginia Morgan Raines. Beverly attended the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who so loved spending time with her family and friends. A woman of many talents, she enjoyed her hobbies which included sewing, making and collecting dolls and teddy bears, crafts, painting, feeding and watching the birds and flower gardening. Her son, Roger Dale Sutphin, and two sisters, Dorothy Amick and Donna Cody preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Billy F. Sutphin; three daughters, Debra Jean Barker and husband, Larry Wayne of Lochgelly, Laurie Ann Fuller and husband, Rev. Darrell Wayne of Hilltop and Traci Lynn Sutphin of Hilltop; one brother, Charles "Jimmy" Raines of Oak Hill and two sisters-in-law, Bessie Sutphin of Oak Hill and Janet Sutphin of Scarbro. Mrs. Sutphin is also survived by two grandchildren, Jeremy Michael Barker and Sarah Mae Barker both of Lochgelly and by several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Darrell Fuller and Rev. Robert Pauley officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
