Betty Jean Waddell Lilly, age 79, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Hill Top Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Hill Top, WV Born December 30, 1934 in Summers County, WV, she was the daughter of the late James N. and Della Fern Lilly Waddell. Betty was former cashier at Burger King and worked part time for the US Postal Service. She was a member of the Summerlee Wesleyan Church where she served as Sunday school teacher and song leader. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Paul Lilly and by a brother, Newton Waddell. Survivors include her son, Larry Lee Lilly of Oak Hill, her two daughter, Donna S. Ramsey and husband Dennis of Oak Hill and Teresa G. Bush and husband Kevin of Ravenswood, six grandchildren, Devin Atha, Brandi Lilly, Jillian Ramsey, Kristin Wells, Amanda Wells and Jodi Jarrell, two great grandchildren, Brenton Lilly and Halie Pack. Also surviving are her two sisters, Loretta Burnett of Alexandria, VA and Deanna Bair of Brooklyn, MI. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in One Arm Bill Lilly Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call at the the funeral home one hour prior to services on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Dennis Ramsey, David Bair, Kevin Bush, Donnie McClain, John Wells and Dylan Young will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be sent to www.tyreefuneralhome.com .
