Betty Jo Holley Skeens, 59, of Beckley, WV died on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at her home from chronic lung disease. Born August 27, 1946 at Horse Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Junior Ronald and Dessie Mae Wriston Holley. Mrs. Skeens was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, Sweeneysburg, WV and a homemaker. Two brothers, Ronald Holley and Gary Holley preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Charles Skeens; one daughter, Deborah Coffman and husband, Timothy, of Beckley; one son, Charles Slykerman and wife, Donna, of Parma, OH; one brother, Tommy Holley and wife, Sandy, of Beckley; two sisters, Pam Phillips and husband, Terry, of Chesapeake, VA and Teresa Young and husband, Timothy, of Pax; five grandchildren, Suzanne Slykerman of Oklahoma, Stephen Slykerman of Parma, OH, Caitlynn Clark, Chase Clark and Jocelynn Coffman all of Beckley; one great grandson of Oklahoma and a special aunt, who never left her side, Betty Lue Wriston. Betty is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Tonya Hurley and husband, Donald, of Pax, Tammy Adkins and husband, Elgie, of Mount Hope, Traci Young of Pax, Travis Phillips and wife, Mandy, and Lindsey Wood and husband, Daniel, all of Chesapeake, Tommy Holley, Jr. of Wyoming and Jason Holley of Beckley; several great nieces and nephews and close friends Charles and Naomi Ayers and their children of Eccles. A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Sweeneysburg. with Rev. Gary Williams officiating. There will be no visitation.
