Betty Miller Kennedy, 90, of Barboursville, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, WV.
Born April 20, 1925 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Newton and Roxie Miller. Betty was a retired Elementary school teacher having taught at Glen Jean, Page and Rosedale Elementary schools.
Betty was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church and a faithful member of the Donnelly Sunday School Class where she served as Treasurer of the class for 10 years.
She married Jimmy Lee Kennedy who preceded her in death.
They had two daughters, Karen Treadway and husband Rick of Ona, WV and Cindy Froman and husband Mike of Jasper, GA; 4 grandchildren, Carly Wills, Marshall Treadway, Jeremy Settle and Joshua Settle; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. David Sneed officiating, Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
