Betty Jane Honaker

Betty Jane Riley Honaker, 89, of Huntington, WV formerly from Monroe, NC, Ft. Mill, SC, Daytona Beach, FL and Charleston WV. passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Woodlands Assisted Living in Huntington.
Born April 10, 1929 in Aberdeen, WA she was the daughter of the late William Riley and Myrtle Gunter Riley Countryman.
Betty worked as a payroll clerk for Montgomery Ward in Beckley, and also worked for the city of Charleston. She was a member of the Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, SC., and was a member of the Winola Chapter #59 OES of Mount Hope.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Honaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Charles E. Honaker, Jr. (Janice); a daughter, Brenda Conn (John); grandson, Chad Honaker; two step grandchildren, Jonathan Conn (Jennifer), Rob Montville (Alexandria); three great grandchildren Jon, Nicholas, and Dylan.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with daughter Brenda Conn officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:30 am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations of sympathy be made to Huntington Hospice House, 1101 Sixth Avenue Huntington, WV 25701, or Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 1691 Highway 160 West, Fort Mill SC, 29708
