Betty L. Cosby

Betty Lucille Masters Cosby, 81, of Bradley, WV died on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 25, 1926 at Amherstdale, WV she was the daughter of the late Elijah A. and Mary Maude Ferguson Masters. She was a retired parts manager for Sears Roebuck. Mrs. Cosby was a member of the Callaway Heights Baptist Church, Beckley, WV. She bowled in two leagues. Her husband, Cecil E. Cosby and a brother, Robert Carroll Masters and his wife, Evelyn preceded her in death. Survivors include brother, James Allen Masters and wife, Lois, of Venice, FL; five nieces, Jo Ellen Masters Smith of Delaware, OH, Kimberly Lucille Masters of Fremont, CA, Judy Masters Shamrock of Courtland, OH, Faith Hunter Webb of Marne, MI and Hope Hunter Eggerding of Grand Rapids, MI; three nephews, Robert Carroll Masters, Jr. of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Bill Masters of Orange, CA and James Hunter of Shelbyville, IN; cousins Dorothy "Dot" Felty of Huntington, WV, Carolyn Dean of Lewisburg, WV, David and Nancy Thompson of Bethesda, MD, Margie Ferguson of High Point, NC; dear friends, Glen and Margaret Williams and Vienna Hurt all of Bradley; Ralph and Carolyn Rinehart; her former boss, Jerry Phillips and a host of friends and the congregation of the Callaway Heights Baptist Church. Services will be on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Bill Parker and Rev. Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.
