Betty J. Coleman Thomas King

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Betty Jean Coleman Thomas King , 73, of Hico, WV went to join her Savior in Heaven on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born November 29, 1938 at Lick Fork, WV she was the daughter of the late Chester Monroe Coleman and Veda Smith Coleman Legg. Betty considered everyone she met to be her family. She touched the lives of many with her loving smile and laughter. She will be forever missed by all who knew her. A granddaughter, Cindy Lynn Thomas and three brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Terry Danny King, daughter, Diana Bjelland and husband, Chris, sons, Bobby Thomas and wife, Sherry, Danny Thomas of Fayetteville, and daughter, Kimberly King, grandchildren, Stephanie Bjelland, Summer Thomas, Erika Hann and husband, Russell, Christopher Thomas, Kyle King, Tyler Hamilton and Samantha Thomas, and two great grandchildren, Katelynn Hornsby and Christian McConnell. She is also survived by sisters, Velva Mitchell, Letha Reynolds, Sue Scarbrough, Norma Flint and Helen Pittman, brother, Sammy Legg, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Morris Nutter officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until service time. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
