Betty Jane Bennett Denton , 76, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at CAMC - General Division in Charleston, WV. Born April 12, 1937 at Cunard, WV she was the daughter of the late Basil and Dimmie Simmons Bennett. Mrs. Denton was a retired textile mill office secretary having worked in California. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Her husband, Forrest Denton preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Kevin Zamiela and wife, Ellen of Dunbar; a sister, Klyde Merrell of California and a brother, James "Wetzel" Bennett of Sissonville. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Carlos Melocoton, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
