Bessie Sears

Bessie Magdeline Propps Sears, 88, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, December 07, 2004 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV following a short illness. Born May 12, 1916 at Beury Mountain, WV she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Cora L. Parkins Propps. She was a retired nursing assistant for Hilltop Nursing Home, Hilltop, WV Mrs. Sears was a member of the First Brethren Church, Oak Hill, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershal Dayton Sears. Bessie was the last surviving member of her immedidate family. Survivors include sons: John Dayton Sears of Oak Hill and Hershal Edward Sears of Richmond, VA; daughter: Brenda Sears Taylor of Chesterfield, VA; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Thursday, December 9, 2004, at 1:00 pm at First Brethren Church in Oak Hill with Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
