Bessie E. Kirk

She is finally at peace. Bessie Edith Grover Kirk, 87, of Collinsdale, WV died on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at her home following a long illness. Born October 25, 1921 at Jackson, OH she was the daughter of the late Rupert and Cora Boggs Grover. She was a retired glassware maker for Owens Illinois Glassware in Huntington. Mrs. Kirk was a member of the Nazarene church. Her husband, Vernon Kirk and nine siblings preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Freda E. Massey of Collinsdale; two brothers, Ernest Grover of Columbus, OH and Walter Lee Grover of Plain City, OH and one sister, Elsie Raver of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Debra Ann Massey, two great grandchildren, Mark Wayne Clyburn, Jr. and companion, Paula Bryan and Larry Thomas Dean and two great, great grandchildren, Mark Wayne Clyburn, III and Jadie Lea Clyburn all of Collinsdale. Services will be on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Kevin Witcher officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
