Bertie Kuhn Mckinney

Bertie Marie “Grannie” Kuhn McKinney, born February 20, 1932, is the last surviving child of Ulyssus Sydney Kuhn and Margaret Elizabeth (Kincaid) Kuhn earned her wings and went home to her Heavenly Father on December 11, 2015 after a long illness.
Mrs. McKinney was proceeded in death by six brothers, and two sisters, two children, Elmer James “Jimmy” McKinney Jr. and Nona Gaye McKinney Zicafoose and two grandchildren Marvin Gene McKinney and Alisa Jo McKinney - Shirley.
She is survived by five children, Donald McKinney of Wayne, WV, Andy McKinney (Judy) of Wayne, WV, Margaret McKinney of Wayne, WV, Melinda Lowe of Wheeling, WV and John McKinney (Tonya) of Ashland, VA.
She was a loving Grannie to seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Wayne, WV, Jason, Port Orange, FL, Tracy, Wheeling, WV, Carl, Long Beach, CA, Andrea, Wayne, WV, Richard and John Jr. of Ashland, VA, fourteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a special sister-in-law Phyllis Kuhn and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill, WV, on Friday December 18, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park Oak Hill, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
